Mile High Mondays: 9

I’ve been falling behind on my posts. Sorry I’ve been so busy procrastinating that I never get around to posting.

Anyway, for today’s mile high monday post I share with you Red Rocks. Some of you might of heard of it, if you haven’t read up.

I’m so excited to be moving to Denver and being able to go and watch bands at this venue. I’ve heard great things about Red Rocks.

Little know fact about Red Rocks.

The area is popular for many genres of music, from opera to rock. Due to a riot, rock music was banned from the amphitheater for a five year period, but the ban was lifted after a lawsuit filed against the city proclaimed that the ban had been over the top.”

For today’s post I introduce you to Gungor. They’re a Christian group from Denver, CO led by Michael Gungor. My friend introduced me to their album Beautiful Things a few months ago and I was blown away. This album is filled with a lot of great songs and is creatively produced.

I’m excited to know that they’ll be in town and I can watch them lead worship at Bloom Church.

“The mountainous area of Colorado is six times the size of Switzerland and contains 9,600 miles (15,449 km) of fishing streams, 2,850 lakes and over 1,000 peaks two miles (3,218 km) high.” from rockiedguide.com

I was away in DC this weekend and forgot my MHM post. So this weeks post is on Colfax Avenue.

“Colfax Avenue in Denver is the longest continuous street in America.” From 50states.com

I remember when we first went to Denver started driving down the not knowing where we were going and ask “when is road going to end.” We turned around.
