Got a chance to visit Garden of the Gods last week while a friend was in town. We drove down there after I got off work to try to get some evening light and we got there just in the nick of time. However, I think next time I’ll give ourselves some more time to get down there, it was an hour and a half drive and we were exhausted afterwards. The best part was that we got a chance to stop by a Chick-Fil-A twice. Kristel and I grew to love that place after living in Raleigh for two years and Denver doesn’t have any real one in the city.

Year 3.

Yesterday I celebrated my marriage to my wife Kristel. We’ve been at it for three years now and it’s been a great ride so far. Like any marriage it takes work, time, and understanding even though you might not always “get it.” I look back at the people we were before marriage and I’m amazed how the Lord has formed us to be the team that we are today. I’m so happy she said yes almost 4 years ago.

To celebrate, I took the day off from work and just spent the day together. We went to the record store, got a donut, discovered a Latin Super Market, went to the park to had a picnic, and even watch the Miami Heat beat the Dallas Mavericks in Game 1 of the Playoffs.
