I was working on a cover for Soma Church’s executive summary and I got inspire by The Head of State travel posters that they came out with a few months ago. I’ll post a picture of the printed product when it comes in.

Tutorial: Toy Camera Look

This is my first tutorial so hope you enjoy it.

Toy cameras are some of the coolest things since sliced bread. However, the down side to them is that it takes some time to get the pictures developed (1hr to a few days). Nothing against film, I love the way it looks. It has much more life to it than digital. I just don’t have the patience to wait. So I just like to take the image in to Photoshop and go ninja on it.

To accomplish this look using photoshop all you need is:

After you have read and installed the Barrel Distortion action open a picture in Photoshop and apply the action. You’re half way done.

Then go to Layer>New Layer Adjustments>Curves

Choose the Cross Process Preset

BOOM! You’ve done it.

There are hundreds of different actions you can find online that can do other looks, but careful because they can become addicting.

Hope you found this helpful.
